Kindly be informed that the 52nd APACPH Conference 2020 has been postponed. The conference was planned to take place on August 25th-27th, 2020 but this has changed due to the unavoidable circumstances in view of the ongoing current development of the COVID-19 pandemic. The conference has been postponed to early March 2021, and the exact date will be informed later. The venue of the conference, however, remains the same and it is just the date that has been postponed.
Understandably there is a lot of fear and anxiety surrounding this pandemic. This decision has been reached in response to the health authorities and worldwide efforts in taking preventative measures to curb and contain the escalating COVID-19 pandemic. We are taking all the best possible steps to ensure that everyone is protected, including by postponing this international conference which will lead to a mass gathering of people from around the Asia-Pacific region. We need your understanding and cooperation to ensure that all of us remain safe from the infection by agreeing to this decision.
We apologize for the inconveniences that might result from this change. This postponement is being informed early enough to reduce the possible inconveniences. We are sure that you understand the world population’s health and safety are of utmost importance and concern for us.
We salute the warriors fighting in the frontline of the pandemic and would like to take this opportunity to thank all those people who have been working very hard in recent weeks to face this pandemic. We hope this outbreak will be resolved soon. May we be blessed with good health and peace without end.
