The Faculty of Medicine, Universiti Malaya received visitors from the Faculty of Public Health, Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) on 30 November 2020. The team from USU was led by Prof Dr Dra. Ida Yustina, Dean of the Faculty of Public Health and accompanied by Ir Phd Etty Sudaryati, third vice-Dean, Faculty of Public Health, USU, Dra Phd Nurmaini Khalik and Dr. Phd Fazidah Augslina. Professor Dr Sanjay Rampal, the Deputy Dean (Research), Faculty of Medicine, Universiti Malaya hosted the visitors at the newly launched Dato’ Panglima Kinta Eusoff Research Centre in the Faculty of Medicine, UM.
Prof Dr Sanjay started off with an introduction to the Faculty of Medicine, which was followed by a presentation by Prof Dr Victor Hoe, the Head of the Department of Social and Preventive Medicine on the Department and the programmes offered, and a presentation by Associate Prof Dr Rafdzah Ahmad Zaki, the Head of the Centre for Epidemiology and Evidence-Based Practice, on the activities of the centre. Prof Dr Dra. Ida Yustina also introduces us to the Faculty of Public Health, USU.
After the presentation, there was a discussion on the collaboration opportunities between the Faculty of Medicine, UM and the Faculty of Public Health, USU.
